Local designer, Philani Sgonia Mpanza has refused to be left out of Soulistic Music’s initiative to support the ongoing “DJ Karly-B Fundraising campaign”. The designer has noted the importance of such, and therefore pledged to dress up all the visiting artists from Soulistic Music on the forthcoming show scheduled for Thursday, 10 November 2011.
The show, which has been dubbed ‘The Soulistic Night – Swaziland Edition’, is an initiative of SOULISTIC MUSIC in support of the ongoing fund raising campaign to aid in DJ Karly-B’s escalating medical expenses. The local spinner and Big Fun Entertainment founding member has been in and out of hospital, in a fight against a brain tumor. He recently spent more than two weeks at the Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted in a critical condition. He was discharged when his condition stabilized, but is due for surgery at Melpark Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The entertainment menu for the night will be served by Black Coffee, who is the owner of Soulistic Music, a records company based in Johanesburg, South Africa. The spinner/producer has done exceptionally well over the years, which has seen his music receiving immense support in both local and international entertainment scenes. Also set to rock the decks on the night is yet another South African spinner and renowned producer, Culoe de Song, who has been receiving optimal airplay with his latest offering titled ‘Elevation’. They two will be joined by Soulistic Music’s new kids, DJ Sai & Ribatone, who have been setting South African entertainment scenes ablaze with their superb delivery and will be playing in Swaziland for the very first time. To complete what promises to be a memorable evening of Soulistic Fun, locals in the likes of dj Tempt, dj Lil-D (Music Baptism Entertainment), Yugo, Master P & X-stacy (all under Big Fun Entertainment) have been incorporated. The show starts at 7pm, a contribution of E50 before 9pm, E80 thereafter will be required from those in attendance. ID carrying University students will pay E50 throughout the evening.
Popular hip hop artist Muzi Ngwenya, otherwise known as Mozaik, has been added on the line up for this Thursday’s show dubbed “The Soulistic Night – Swaziland Edition”. This was confirmed by the event’s local organizer and Big Fun Entertainment founding member, Khulekani Mamba. Mozaik is a part member of the popular duo of Siyinqaba who have been headlining entertainment scenes with their superb performances. Mozaik will be performing solo, and will definitely be dropping a red hot performance of a different genre, as opposed to what the crow know and would expect from him. “I have been working on a couple of house tunes, on which I feature both as a producer and a vocalist” he explained. He further mentioned that in support of the ongoing champagne, he decided to sample out something a little different from what his fans are used to, and went on to promise nothing but the best of what they already know of him.
